Chromatic Wanderings Opens November 7
Nov 4, 2024
Just a quick reminder that my show Chromatic Wanderings with Carol Sanzalone starts this week! We’re having an opening reception this Saturday, November 9, from 1-3pm. If you can’t make it to the opening, the show runs from November 7 through December 1. Artists’ Gallery is located at 18 Bridge Street and is open Thu-Fri-Sat-Sun from 11am-6pm, or by appointment.
In Chromatic Wanderings, I’ll be exhibiting twenty paintings, almost all of them new and showing for the first time, including six paintings from a new “Mind Wandering” series.
Also featured in this show is Carol Sanzalone, who has been with Artists’ Gallery for twenty years and is known for her watercolor and acrylic paintings that capture the interplay of light and shadow in landscapes from around the Delaware Valley.
If you’ve never been to Lambertville, it’s a charming, picturesque town on the western edge of New Jersey across the Delaware River from New Hope, Pennsylvania. Lambertville is often recognized as one of the nicest small towns in the Northeast USA.
Thinking of visiting and wondering what else to do in town? There are many good places to eat, including Lambertville Station, Under the Moon Cafe, and Anton’s at the Swan, plus some of the best ice cream around at O Wow Cow. Right next to the gallery is a brand new Thai restaurant, Pru, and a bit down the road is Bell’s Tavern, where in addition to a nice meal you can find the art of other Artists’ Gallery artists (this month it’s abstract paintings by Larry Mitnick). Or walk across the bridge to PA and try a fancy dinner with a great view of the river at Stella New Hope. For shopping, my wife loves Sojourner and Foxy Reds for unique surprises, but Lambertville & New Hope also have many other jewelry, clothing, book, and specialty stores to visit (art galleries, too!).
Hope to see you in Lambertville! If you have any questions about the show or need other recommendations about the area, just let me know!
