I recently finished a dual portrait of my aunt and uncle.  Acrylic on panel, 20″x16″.

Loved it, beautiful skintones, and very loose clothing/background. I cant wait to try these acrylics! Do they come with all your skills? ;) Thanks for giving so much insight on your blog. I really enjoyed your coverage of the Portrait Society of America…I love Daniel Greene, Howard Sanden, and David Leiffel (sp?) I can’t believe you actually met them. Wow, it pays to live in NY. Anyways, I would never tell from your abstract work that you’re capable of quite yummy still life or striking portrature…I think you should keep on doing it MORE - b/s you’ve got so much talent!

    Angela,
Thanks much for your comments. Definitely give the Golden Opens a try! I really enjoy painting with them for my representational work. Next year’s Portrait Society of America conference is going to be held in Washington, DC, on April 23-26, 2009. It’s an “All Stars” of portrait painters and worth going to at least once if portraits are your thing.
